Monthly production of the GTD peaked in June 2026 at 58 vehicles, followed by 57 in July and 50 in August. The production process for the GTD begins at the Flat Rock Assembly plant in Michigan, after which vehicles are transported to Multimatic in Ontario, Canada, for final hand-assembly.
The Mustang GTD, introduced in 2023, features an 815-horsepower 5.2-liter supercharged V8 engine and an eight-speed dual-clutch transaxle. The vehicle incorporates a carbon-fiber driveshaft, a semi-active suspension system, and an optional aerodynamics package. The car lacks rear seats and trunk space.
The base price for the Mustang GTD exceeds $325,000. Prospective customers are required to submit an application to be eligible for purchase. Ford produced a total of 271 units of the GTD throughout 2025, with production numbers gradually increasing from two units in January to 36 units in August of that year.
