Berlin-based fintech Finmid has secured €17 million in a Series A extension round. The company, founded in 2021 by former N26 executives Alex Talkanista and Max Schertel, has now raised a total of €52 million. The latest funding round was led by Big Pi Ventures and Mainset, with participation from existing investor Earlybird.
Finmid provides white-label embedded lending services. The startup plans to utilize the new capital to expand its asset-finance product offerings, invest in infrastructure and underwriting capabilities, and support growth into new sectors such as e-commerce and mobility.
The company has also announced a multi-year partnership with the Estonian ride-hailing firm Bolt. Through this agreement, Finmid will provide vehicle financing to Bolt fleet operators, offering access to up to €400 000 over a four-year period. Additionally, Finmid has entered into a merchant lending agreement with the Greek online marketplace Skroutz.
These new partnerships expand Finmid's existing portfolio, which already includes collaborations with companies such as Wolt and Delivery Hero. Finmid aims to enable platforms with business customers to offer financing solutions directly without the need to obtain a banking license.
