Danish venture capital firms Final Frontier and Myriad have merged to form a unified platform under the Final Frontier brand. The consolidation aims to address the shortage of capital for early-stage defence technology companies in the New Nordic region and Ukraine.

The new entity is launching the Final Frontier Fund II with a target of €100 million. The fund will focus on pre-seed and seed-stage startups, with the first close anticipated by the end of 2026. The platform intends to support founders through product development, scaling, and navigating complex procurement cycles.

Final Frontier was established in late 2024 by former Seed Capital GP Niels Vejrup Carlsen, closing its first €4.5 million fund in May 2025 with backing from figures including former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. Myriad was launched in August 2025 as a €2 million fund by operators such as Alexander Aghassipour and Klaus Nyengaard.

The combined portfolio of the two firms currently includes 15 companies. By merging, the platform seeks to combine Myriad’s network of founders and operators with Final Frontier’s expertise in geopolitical, military, and defence industry sectors to provide better support for startups.
