FiiO has expanded the color options for its JT9 open-back planar magnetic headphones, introducing a new dark brown version. The device is priced at ¥999 and joins the existing black model in the company's lineup.
The headphones feature a 95x86mm planar driver equipped with a 1μm ultra-thin diaphragm, which is significantly thinner than the 3μm+ diaphragms typically found in similar products. This design aims to improve the reproduction of high and ultra-high frequency signals.
The manufacturing process incorporates 28nm semiconductor-grade chip technology to enhance voice coil precision and durability. Additionally, the unit utilizes a patented uniform magnetic field design to optimize magnetic layout and reduce distortion by ensuring synchronized diaphragm movement.
With a sensitivity of 95dB/mW at 1kHz, the headphones are designed to be easily driven by standard mobile devices paired with a DAC dongle. The device weighs approximately 365g, excluding the cable, and includes both 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced cables in the package.
