FiiO has officially launched the FT15 planar magnetic headphones, which are now available for purchase. The device is priced at ¥2999 and features an 800-nanometer ultra-thin diaphragm, which the company claims is 86.7% thinner than previous models.
The headphones are equipped with a 101mm full-size driver and utilize a patented uniform magnetic field design with custom-shaped magnets to reduce vibration and distortion. The unit includes a 28-nanometer chip-level electroplated coil and has received Hi-Res Audio certification.
The FT15 offers a sensitivity of 95dB/mW and a low impedance of 24Ω, allowing it to be driven by portable DACs. The construction features a 425g lightweight design with a carbon fiber headband and North American FAS-grade black walnut wood ear cups.
The package includes 6N monocrystalline copper cables that have undergone over 100 hours of liquid nitrogen cryogenic treatment at -192°C. Additionally, the set comes with two types of ear pads, a 4.4mm balanced cable, 6.35mm and XLR-4 adapters, and a storage case.
