Fiat has unveiled the first teaser image of its upcoming Multiplay model, a concept set to debut at the 2026 Paris Motor Show. The vehicle is positioned as a new mobility concept rather than a traditional SUV, aiming to combine the interior flexibility of an MPV with the cargo utility of a pickup truck. The design draws inspiration from the original 1950s Multipla and the late-1990s version, focusing on maximizing interior space.
The Multiplay is expected to feature a specialized mechanism allowing the vehicle to adjust its configuration based on user needs. Unlike the microcar-sized Fiat Quattrolino, which falls under the L7e heavy electric quadricycle category, the Multiplay will be a full-fledged passenger vehicle. It is designed specifically for the electric vehicle segment, with a target price point of approximately €15 000.
The project is part of a broader strategy by Fiat to expand its small electric car lineup. The brand is also developing a successor to the Pandina, with both models expected to launch around 2028. These vehicles will share a common platform and will be manufactured at the Pomigliano d'Arco facility in Italy, alongside upcoming electric models from Citroen and Opel.
