Ferrari has unveiled the 296 GT Modificata, a track-only supercar designed for members of the Club Competizioni GT program. The vehicle serves as a successor to the 488 GT Modificata introduced in 2020. Production is limited to select clients who gain access to two years of competition and track-side support, covering 12 rounds at global circuits.

The car features a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine without hybrid assistance, producing 720 hp and 800 Nm of torque. It utilizes a six-speed sequential transmission with a carbon clutch. Compared to the 296 GT3 Evo, the new model is 128 hp more powerful and weighs 1,330 kg, which is 80 kg lighter than the lightest 296 Speciale.

Aerodynamic updates include a redesigned rear wing with larger endplates, a more pronounced splitter, and custom tailpipes. The interior retains a racing-focused layout but adds a passenger seat. Optional equipment includes a rear radar system to alert the driver of approaching vehicles. Owners can personalize the car through the Ferrari Design Studio.

On the Fiorano test track, the 296 GT Modificata is three seconds faster than the 296 GT3 Evo. Ferrari has not disclosed the pricing for this model, which is built specifically for non-competitive track use without the restrictions imposed by GT3 regulations.
