FAW-Volkswagen has officially launched the ID. AURA T6, a mid-size electric SUV, in the Chinese market. The vehicle is available in four variants with prices ranging from ¥129 900 to ¥166 900. This launch price is lower than the pre-sale figures announced on August 28.
The SUV features a single motor with a peak output of 170 kW and offers two battery options from CATL: 59.9 kWh and 77.5 kWh. These provide a CLTC range of 540 km and 660 km, respectively. The model measures 4,811 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,836 mm.
The two high-end variants, 660 Max and 660 Ultra, are equipped with LiDAR. These versions utilize a driver-assistance system from Carizon, a joint venture between Volkswagen and Horizon Robotics, featuring a 420 TOPS Journey 6H chip. The system supports highway and urban navigation on autopilot.
The ID. AURA T6 is built on the CEA electronic architecture developed in partnership with Xpeng. The cockpit includes a 15.6-inch touchscreen and supports large AI models. This model is part of Volkswagen's strategy to release 13 new models in China in 2026, with FAW-Volkswagen contributing four new energy vehicles.
