The Jetta M6, the first mass-produced electric vehicle from the FAW-Volkswagen joint venture, has officially entered the pre-sale phase in China. The starting price for the sedan is set at ¥80 800, which is approximately $12 035. This pricing positions the model $5 810 lower than the Xpeng Mona M03.
The vehicle is a mid-size sedan measuring 4806 mm in length, 1868 mm in width, and 1895 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2820 mm. It is 68 mm longer than the standard Volkswagen Jetta. Customers can choose from six exterior colors and three interior color schemes.
The entry-level version features a 42.9 kWh battery providing a 465 km CLTC range and a 113 kW motor. The mid-range 555 Max variant includes a 51.9 kWh battery for a 555 km range and a 145 kW motor. The top-tier 555 Ultra trim adds advanced features such as an L2 assisted driving system with Navigate On Autopilot.
Standard equipment across the range includes a 15.6-inch center screen and an 8.88-inch instrument cluster. Higher trims offer additional comfort features like panoramic sunroofs, heated and ventilated seats, and massage functions. The brand Jetta, established in 2019, is currently shifting its focus from internal combustion engines to the NEV sector.
