FAW Bestune has officially unveiled the five-seat version of its Pony electric microcar. The vehicle is designed for short-distance urban commuting and has already begun arriving at dealerships, with a full market launch scheduled for the end of October.

The new model features a distinct design language, including circular headlights with black trim and semi-concealed door handles. It measures 3350 mm in length, 1540 mm in width, and 1600 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2215 mm.

Compared to the two-door variant, the five-seat version has seen significant dimensional increases. The length has grown by 350 mm, the width by 30 mm, and the wheelbase by 262 mm, aimed at improving rear-seat passenger comfort.

While specific powertrain details for the five-seat model were not disclosed, the existing two-door Pony is equipped with a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor. It delivers 41 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque.

The current two-door lineup offers two battery options. Some versions utilize a 18.11 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack from Hubei Chuhang, while others are equipped with a 16.97 kWh battery pack manufactured by CATL.
