The upcoming Fairbuds 2 wireless earbuds from Fairphone have been revealed through leaked images. The new model features a design with stems, departing from the rounded shape of the first generation. The charging case has also undergone a redesign, appearing more elongated and thicker than its predecessor.

The earbuds will be available in two color options: green and black. These colors align with the Forest Green and Horizon Black finishes of the new Fairphone Gen 6 Plus smartphone. The increased thickness of the charging case suggests a potential improvement in battery life for the new device.

While the original Fairbuds were marketed for their high repairability, featuring seven replaceable components including batteries, details regarding the modular design of the second generation remain unconfirmed. Information on whether the batteries in the Fairbuds 2 will be user-replaceable is currently unavailable.

The company has scheduled the official market launch of the Fairbuds 2 for the fourth quarter of this year. Specific technical specifications, the extent of modularity, and the retail pricing for the new audio product have not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer.
