EVgo is expanding its charging network by installing more than 400 fast-charging stalls at shopping centers managed by Regency Centers. These locations are typically suburban plazas anchored by supermarkets such as Whole Foods, Kroger, and Publix, integrating charging into daily routines.

The chargers will be deployed across several states, including Texas, Florida, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Colorado, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. Each site will feature up to 24 high-power fast chargers, which can provide a full charge in as little as 15 minutes, depending on the vehicle's capabilities.

EVgo and Regency Centers have been partners since 2020, when the first charger was first installed. Currently, the company operates more than 150 charging stalls at these properties. The addition of 400-plus stalls will increase Regency's total EV charging footprint by more than 20%.

According to EVgo, approximately half of the drivers who use charging stations are likely to visit a nearby store or restaurant while waiting.
