EVDANCE has expanded its product line of EV charging extension cables by adding support for NACS and J1772 connector standards. This hardware is designed to address the common issue of insufficient cable length for residential charging setups, allowing owners to park vehicles further from their wall-mounted chargers.

The company reports that it has sold over 10,000 units of its extension cables during the past year. The product series offers various configurations, including cable lengths of 21 feet and 40 feet. These cables are engineered to support Level 2 charging with specifications of up to 50 A, 240 V, and 12 kW.

Technical features of the cable include 8 AWG copper conductors, a heavy-duty TPE jacket, and an IP66 rating for water and dust protection. When using the NACS version with a compatible Tesla charger, the functionality of the charge-port opening button is preserved, ensuring that the user experience remains consistent.

According to CEO Daniel Cooper, the extension solution aims to provide flexibility for various parking scenarios, such as garages with multiple vehicles or driveways where the original cable reach is limited. This allows drivers to extend their existing charging infrastructure without needing to replace their current hardware.
