Etherscan has launched ArcScan, a dedicated block explorer for the newly released Arc blockchain. The platform provides analytics for both the mainnet and testnet environments, supporting developers with Etherscan-compatible APIs to simplify the migration of existing tools.

The Arc mainnet went live on September 16, 2026, and is currently processing hundreds of thousands of daily transactions. The blockchain is a Layer-1 network developed by Circle, specifically optimized for stablecoin applications.

A key feature of the Arc network is the use of USDC as the native gas token, which eliminates the need for volatile assets to pay transaction fees. The chain utilizes the Malachite BFT consensus on a Reth execution layer, achieving average block times of 500 milliseconds.

The network operates with a permissioned validator set controlled by Circle. ArcScan identifies the mainnet with chain ID 5042 and the testnet with 5042002. Currently, the explorer lacks support for Sourcify contract verification and transaction trace indexing.
