Etherscan has introduced a Transaction Debugger skill designed for AI coding agents like Claude Code and Codex. The tool allows agents to analyze EVM transactions by generating structured reports based on live data, preventing reliance on model memory.
The debugger decodes transaction calls, tracks asset and permission changes, and provides failure analysis. Reports range from simple summaries to security-focused observations, all including direct links to Etherscan for verification.
Part of the Build with AI suite launched in August 2026, the tool supports all EVM chains covered by Etherscan. It is intended to be used alongside the company's CLI or MCP server, which provides access to over 60 chains.
The toolkit also includes Etherscan Flow for tracking fund movements and Contract Review for validation. Developers can install the debugger using a single command via the Etherscan skills repository.
