The transaction was identified by the on-chain monitoring service EmberCN. The specific addresses involved are 0x4c4…2b94 and 0x999…0229. Neither the Ethereum Foundation nor Kraken has provided an official statement regarding the transfer.
One of the wallets has a history of moving funds to Kraken dating back to 2016. Records show the wallet received 59,751 ETH from the foundation in 2016 and has since transferred 49,751 ETH to the exchange, leaving a balance of 10,000 ETH.
Similar transfers from foundation-linked addresses to Kraken were recorded in late 2025, May 2026, and August 2026. These movements are considered part of the foundation's ongoing treasury and operational activities.
