US spot Ether exchange-traded funds have faced significant capital withdrawals throughout October. According to data from SoSoValue, net outflows from these financial products have reached $1.08 billion since the beginning of the month. This figure includes a net addition of $26 million recorded on Tuesday.
The current monthly outflow has effectively negated the net inflows of $832 million observed in September. As a result, the total net inflows for Ether ETFs since the start of 2026 have decreased to approximately $485 million. This October performance marks the largest monthly net outflow for the category since November 2025.
The decline in assets under management coincides with a 9.7 percent drop in the price of Ether during October, with the asset moving from $2,700 to $2,438. CoinGecko reports that the value of ETH has fallen by nearly 18 percent over the course of 2026.
In contrast, Bitcoin ETFs experienced a different trend, recording $23 million in net inflows on Tuesday, following a $527 million inflow on Monday. Despite this, US spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen net outflows of approximately $67 million for the month of October, bringing the year-to-date net inflows to roughly $809 million.
