Russian manufacturer Eltex has released version 1.7 of its EVI platform, designed to centralize video surveillance, video analytics, and access control management. The update focuses on streamlining operator workflows and improving response times to security events.
The platform now features an enhanced interactive map that allows operators to place cameras and sensors, monitor their status, and pinpoint event locations. Operators can navigate directly from an alert on the map to a live camera feed or device settings, and vice versa.
New management capabilities allow operators to arm individual sensors or entire locations, with status summaries visible on the interactive map. The EVI SCUD module has been updated with improved controller interaction, bug fixes, and a revised licensing mechanism.
To simplify deployment, Eltex introduced the evi-installer tool for infrastructure setup. The EVI platform remains available for free testing, with the company emphasizing the role of the interactive map in reducing manual tasks for security personnel.
