Japanese peripheral manufacturer Elecom has introduced the DST-L080BPBK desktop docking station. The device features a unique design that combines standard port expansion with a built-in controller, including a rotary knob and four customizable buttons on the top panel.
Users can configure these controls via the Elecom Mouse Assistant software to manage volume, camera toggles, text input, or specific shortcuts. The dock includes a USB-C PD port supporting up to 100W input, delivering 90W to the host laptop after accounting for the 10W power draw of the unit itself.
Connectivity options include one USB-C and two USB-A data ports at 5Gbps, an HDMI port supporting 4K at 60Hz, an RJ-45 Ethernet port, and slots for SD and microSD cards. The device requires a connection to a USB-C port supporting DisplayPort Alt Mode and DisplayPort 1.4 to achieve its maximum video output resolution.
The dock measures 74 by 87 by 59 millimeters and weighs approximately 250 grams. It is compatible with Windows 10, 11, and macOS Tahoe 26. The product is currently available in Japan, with pricing varying by channel between ¥10 980 and ¥13 728, including taxes.
