The NearLink Alliance website confirms that the EDF200259 headphones from Beijing Edifier Technology have passed the organization's testing and listing process. The certification includes compliance testing for high-definition audio protocols.
Beijing Edifier Technology, established in April 1996, operates under the Shenzhen Edifier Technology parent company. The firm manages the Edifier brand alongside several sub-brands across various consumer segments.
The successful certification indicates that the new headphones will launch in the near future. Industry expectations suggest this model will become the second third-party headset to support NearLink audio technology.
In early September, Edifier released the Comfo Clip Q2 open-ear headphones on JD.com. This device features a HiSilicon chip and a 12mm dynamic driver, retailing for ¥399. The model is built on the OpenHarmony operating system.
The Comfo Clip Q2 has received a firmware update enabling NearLink functionality. Users can activate this mode by updating the Edifier Connect application to the latest version and re-pairing the device through the mobile interface.
