Edifier has updated its Comfo Clip Q2 open-ear headphones to support NearLink E2.0 technology. This marks the first time a third-party brand has implemented this feature in such a device. The headphones, which were launched earlier this month, are built on the OpenHarmony operating system.
To enable the new connectivity mode, users must update the Edifier Connect app to the latest version. After pairing the device, users can select the NearLink connection option within the application. The hardware features a 12mm dynamic driver and is powered by a HiSilicon chip.
The NearLink E2.0 upgrade enables lossless audio transmission with reduced latency and improved interference resistance. According to HiSilicon, the physical layer transmission rate for audio reaches 16Mbps. This bandwidth supports 48kHz/24bit Hi-Fi audio streaming.
