EcoFlow has introduced the fourth-generation River series, featuring the River 260 Gen4 and the River 520 Gen4. The River 260 Gen4 has a 256Wh capacity battery, while the River 520 Gen4 provides 512Wh. Both models use LFP chemistry for increased longevity and stability.
The River 260 Gen4 is equipped with four USB ports and a single AC jack with a maximum continuous output of 300W. The River 520 Gen4 includes the same USB port selection but provides two AC jacks with a 500W continuous output. The River 520 Gen4 is capable of powering a standard US fridge for approximately 4 hours during a power outage.
Both devices function as a UPS for computers, with a cutover time of less than 10ms. They feature a bidirectional 140W USB-C PD3.1 port, allowing for direct DC charging via a 140W USB-C wall charger or portable USB-C solar panels.
The company has reduced energy loss during DC to AC conversion to prevent battery drain during idling. The River 260 Gen4 will be available in Europe in Q4 2026, and the River 520 Gen4 will be released in Q1 2027. Pricing will be announced closer to the release dates.
