E.ON Drive Infrastructure has acquired the former BP Pulse fast-charging network in the Netherlands, which includes 79 locations and 370 charging points. The infrastructure will now operate under the Essent brand, with E.ON managing operations and maintenance, while Essent handles marketing and customer communication.

The acquired network features Alpitronic fast chargers with power outputs up to 300 kW, capable of charging vehicles to 80 percent in approximately 20 minutes. The setup includes 17 Mega Charging Hubs and 51 sites equipped with battery-buffered chargers designed to function in areas with limited grid capacity.

The deal also encompasses 45 secured development sites for future expansion and integrates 46 existing E.ON fast-charging points into the Essent brand. All stations provide certified green electricity and support standard payment methods, including existing BP Pulse cards and apps.

This transaction follows BP's strategic withdrawal from mobility assets in the Netherlands, where its former fuel stations are now operated by Catom under the OK brand. Financial terms of the acquisition remain undisclosed by the parties involved.
