E Ink has unveiled its fourth-generation color electronic paper technology, Kaleido 4. The new panels feature a twofold increase in color gamut, a 15% improvement in white reflectivity, and a 50% boost in contrast compared to the previous generation. These updates aim to reduce graininess and improve the clarity of images and charts.

The technology incorporates a new oxide TFT backplane that supports higher driving voltages, enabling faster screen updates. Video playback performance has increased to 18 frames per second. Additionally, the company has redesigned the front lighting system to enhance color accuracy and detail, while maintaining the focus on document reading and professional tasks.

The Hanvon M10C II is the first device to feature the Kaleido 4 screen. It is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm processor, 4 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of storage. The tablet utilizes the T2000 timing controller and Hanvon's Enhanced Pressure Floating technology, which together increase page turning and scrolling speeds by 27%.

The device includes a battery-free stylus capable of detecting 8192 pressure levels. The display is covered by matte tempered glass with a micro-texture to minimize glare and parallax. Software features include text recognition, AI-powered office tools, cloud library synchronization, and optimized font rendering.
