Early users of the Dyson CameraJet electric toothbrush, priced at $499.99, are reporting that water is leaking into the battery compartment. Some users on Reddit, including one from the UK, have noted that their devices failed shortly after purchase, with one user claiming their model broke within 30 seconds.

Dyson's senior communications manager for Home Technology, Kaitlyn Coleman, stated that a small number of early batches of the CameraJet may have experienced a component issue. The company is currently isolating those specific batches to support its customers.

The AI-powered toothbrush features a camera and a water-jet function that simulates flossing by shooting mouthwash between teeth. Following its launch this week, the product quickly became out of stock on the company's website.

Dyson denied that the product was pulled from sale due to the reported defects. The company attributed the lack of availability to strong global demand and the current process of scaling up production.
