Dyson has launched the R3 AI robot vacuum in China, priced at ¥6999. The device features a cyclone base station that eliminates the need for disposable bags and filters particles as small as 0.1 microns. The container allows for up to 100 days of operation without manual cleaning.
The vacuum delivers a suction power of 30,000 Pa and uses an HD camera alongside AI to identify approximately 200 types of objects. UV and green light systems assist in detecting dust and stains. Upon carpet detection, the brush roll lifts automatically, while a 27-centimeter element extends by 4 centimeters for edge cleaning.
For mopping, the R3 AI utilizes a 12-point water delivery system and 70-degree Celsius hot water, which the manufacturer claims achieves 99.9% floor sterilization. The base station also handles maintenance by washing the brush roll with hot water and drying it with 55-degree Celsius air.
The robot measures 373 by 370 by 110 millimeters, while the base station dimensions are 465 by 415 by 517 millimeters. The system automatically repeats cleaning cycles when it encounters heavy debris.
