A recent report from Dune highlights that tokenized markets exhibit distinct trading and investment behaviors compared to traditional financial sectors. As of August 31, the total value of tokenized real-world assets reached $34.5 billion, marking an increase of over 140% compared to the previous year. Cash equivalents currently dominate the supply, while equities remain the most actively traded segment within this space.

Data analysis reveals that single stocks represent 81% of the tokenized equity spot supply, with exchange-traded funds accounting for the remaining 19%. According to Binance Research, the tokenized equity market was valued at $4.43 billion as of September 15, reflecting a 390% growth in 2026. Despite this expansion, the sector currently represents only 0.0029% of the global listed-equity market, which is valued at $151.9 trillion.

Projections from Binance Research suggest that the tokenized equity market could grow to approximately $349 billion by 2030. Industry developments are also accelerating, with the US Securities and Exchange Commission granting a temporary exemption on September 17 for limited onchain trading of tokenized US-listed stocks. Additionally, the New York Stock Exchange and Blockchain.com have announced plans to launch a digital trading platform for such assets.
