The cryptocurrency gambling platform Duelbits has resumed operations following a security breach. The company confirmed that deposits and withdrawals are now functional. To ensure liquidity, the team has allocated approximately $8 million across hot and cold wallets for immediate user payouts.

The incident, which occurred on September 24, involved unauthorized transactions from the platform's hot wallets. Security researchers from PeckShield and Scam Sniffer estimated the losses at between $4.2 million and $4.3 million, affecting assets on the Ethereum, BNB Chain, and TRON networks.

Co-founder Joe confirmed the total damage amounted to approximately $7 million. While a formal incident report is pending, analysts at Scam Sniffer suggested the breach likely resulted from a compromised private key. This marks the second such attack on the platform, following a similar incident in February 2024 that resulted in a loss of $4.6 million.

The Duelbits hack coincided with a significant security breach at the centralized exchange Bitget, where losses were initially reported at $351.6 million and later revised to $387.5 million. According to CoinGecko data, crypto platforms lost a total of $3.63 billion across 245 incidents between January 2025 and July 2026.
