At the Sibos 2026 conference, DTCC and Chainlink executives discussed the requirements for scaling tokenized markets, emphasizing interoperability, compliance, and infrastructure. DTCC plans to launch its DTC tokenization service in October 2026.

The SEC issued a No-Action Letter to DTCC in December 2025, authorizing a three-year controlled environment for tokenizing assets under DTC custody. In July 2026, the company performed preliminary trades of tokenized US securities with major financial institutions.

The roadmap includes the launch of the DTCC Collateral AppChain in Q1 2027. This project will integrate Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) to enable real-time collateral management across different blockchain environments.

Nadine Chakar, head of digital assets at DTCC, and Chainlink co-founder Sergey Nazarov highlighted that robust, compliance-aware systems are essential for the mainstream adoption of tokenized equity and round-the-clock trading.
