Dreame has unveiled the LumiDryer hair dryer and LumiStyler styler at IFA 2026 in Berlin. Both conceptual devices replace traditional heating coils with light energy to reduce high-temperature impact on hair.
The LumiDryer utilizes Lumilight technology, which employs radiation with a wavelength of 810 nm in the near-infrared spectrum. This light penetrates the hair structure, where it is absorbed and converted into heat to evaporate moisture.
The LumiStyler applies the same principle to hair styling. According to the company, radiation energy helps rearrange hydrogen bonds in the hair structure to shape it, without using a traditional heating coil.
The devices are currently presented as concepts demonstrating a new direction for Dreame's personal care technology. The company has not yet announced pricing or release dates for production versions.
