Dongfeng has unveiled the Mengshi Meng 8, a motorhome built on the chassis of the Mengshi MS600 military truck. The vehicle is powered by a 6.7-liter electronically controlled turbodiesel engine that delivers 1050 Nm of torque. It features a permanent all-wheel-drive system and a double-wishbone suspension setup.
The vehicle is designed for extreme conditions, capable of handling 31-degree inclines, 70 cm wide trenches, and 28-degree side slopes. It can start in temperatures as low as -41 degrees Celsius. The fuel system has a total capacity of 210 liters, and the living module is secured to the frame via a three-point mounting system with rear shock absorption.
The interior includes a double bed above the cabin and a dining area that converts into an extra sleeping space. The kitchen is equipped with household appliances, a refrigerator, and a washing machine. For autonomy, the vehicle carries a 210-liter freshwater tank, a 440-watt solar panel, and a battery pack that can be charged from multiple sources.
The motorhome features a built-in drone module controlled via the multimedia system or a smartphone app. For high-altitude travel, the base equipment includes an oxygen concentrator. The company has not yet announced the pricing for the Mengshi Meng 8.
