The Epicland X9, a large three-row six-seat SUV, has officially launched as the first vehicle from the partnership between Dongfeng Motor and Huawei. The model is positioned as a second-generation family flagship and competes with the Aito M9 and Li Auto Li L9.

The vehicle is built on an 800-volt platform and supports fast charging from 20% to 80% in 18 minutes. It is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged range extender and offers battery options of 74.29 kWh and 51.46 kWh. The combined range reaches up to 1,410 km under the CLTC cycle.

The SUV features Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5 driver assistance system and HarmonySpace 6 cockpit with dual 17.2-inch 3.4K displays. The chassis utilizes the Qiankun Chitu platform with dual-chamber air suspension and rear-wheel steering.

Limited-time pricing for the X9 ranges from ¥279 800 to ¥359 800, compared to the standard range of ¥289 800 to ¥369 800. Pre-sales opened on August 18, with the company reporting over 20 000 orders within the first 24 hours.

Epicland operates independently of Huawei's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance. The company plans to introduce a battery-electric SUV on a 1,000-volt platform, with pre-sales starting in November and deliveries expected in December.
