The center of competence "DOM.RF Technologies" released a digest titled "Design 1.0" focusing on the digitalization of design. The report highlights that digitalization shifts key technical and economic decisions to earlier stages, enabling more precise control over costs, deadlines, and object characteristics.
Digital tools, specifically TIM/BIM technologies, allow for more detailed project development before the working documentation is issued. Digital models integrate data from various sections, which helps identify collisions earlier and redistribute work from later stages to earlier ones, altering the cost structure of design and the speed of decision-making for customers.
In a Novosibirsk residential complex project, specialists performed 15 control iterations, checked 35 CIM/BIM models, and executed over 1.29 million automated checks. This process eliminated over 91% of identified collisions and increased the sellable area by 6% without increasing production costs.
The digest also presents the experience of using a domestic TIM contour for developing project documentation. The results show that Russian software solutions now allow for the creation of CIM/BIM models for all project sections and can serve as the same basis for further object realization.
