Large holders of Dogecoin have purchased over 1.14 billion DOGE tokens within a 96-hour period, amounting to a total value of $112 million. This activity occurs as the cryptocurrency faces price resistance between $0.10 and $0.105.
On-chain data from Santiment and analyst Ali Martinez indicates that such accumulation has been a recurring trend throughout 2026. In May, investors acquired 525 million DOGE, while between September 9 and 14, wallets holding at least 100 million tokens added 240 million DOGE.
Market metrics show that futures open interest for the asset reached between $1.5 billion and $1.67 billion during peak periods. Additionally, short liquidations in derivatives exceeded $12 million during recent accumulation phases.
Institutional interest remains present, as the Grayscale DOGE ETF recorded inflows of approximately $910,000 on a single day in September 2026. This represents the largest daily inflow for the fund since January.
Currently, the top 149 wallets, each containing over 100 million DOGE, hold a collective total of more than 108 billion tokens. Analysts note that such concentrated buying patterns can lead to a supply squeeze, potentially impacting future price movements.
