Docusign has launched a desktop PDF editor integrated into its Intelligent Agreement Management platform. The application allows users to modify text and images, merge files, redact sensitive information, and create forms directly within the workflow. Once a document is signed, the file is locked, and the agreement history is preserved for auditing purposes.

The new tool aims to streamline contract preparation by eliminating the need to switch between multiple applications. Following the signing process, documents are processed by Docusign's artificial intelligence tools, which identify renewal dates and potential risks. The editor is designed for legal, sales, procurement, and human resources teams.

The platform, which expanded beyond e-signatures in April 2024, continues to grow its role in the company's revenue structure. IAM accounted for 15.1% of annual recurring revenue as of July, with projections reaching 18% to 19% by January. In the fiscal second quarter, Docusign reported revenue of $875.7 million, representing a 9% year-over-year increase.

The PDF editor will be available to IAM and eSignature customers starting November 2. It will initially support six languages, including English, French, and German, with additional language support scheduled for 2027. Docusign has not yet disclosed pricing details for the new desktop application.
