The dnspatch daemon, written in Go, provides dynamic DNS updates for Russian hosting providers including REG.RU, Selectel, and Yandex Cloud. The tool addresses limitations in existing DDNS clients, which often lack support for these specific providers or rely on outdated APIs.

For REG.RU, the tool supports proxy configurations to bypass security restrictions that limit API access to specific IP addresses. It manages records by reading existing entries, adding new ones, and then removing the old ones to ensure constant availability. It does not follow redirects to prevent the transmission of credentials.

Selectel support utilizes the domains/v2 API via Keystone authentication, as the legacy domains/v1 API was disabled on May 1, 2026. The tool caches tokens and refreshes them automatically. For Yandex Cloud, it uses service account keys to generate JWTs for IAM token exchange, handling specific JSON parsing requirements for TTL values.

The daemon allows for independent instances to manage multiple domains and providers simultaneously. It supports various IP retrieval methods, including external services and local network interfaces, while filtering out private or loopback addresses. Configuration validation is performed via the --check-config command.
