DJI has updated its ROMO 2 series of robot vacuums, featuring models A2 and P2. The ROMO P2 (water tank version) is priced at ¥5999, while the version with an ultra-thin automatic water station costs ¥6499. The ROMO A2 series is priced at ¥5499 for the water tank model and ¥5999 for the automatic station version.
The series utilizes an obstacle avoidance system derived from DJI drones, incorporating structured light LiDAR and binocular fisheye sensors. This setup allows the robots to detect objects as small as 2 millimeters, including cables and transparent surfaces like glass. The mechanical arm features a 123-degree swing angle, increasing edge coverage by 4.5 centimeters.
Technical specifications include a 36000Pa suction system and a dual-layer obstacle crossing capability of up to 8.5 centimeters. The devices are equipped with 55W fast charging and integrate with the DJI Home app, which provides dirt heat maps and voice control. The robots also support remote video calls and automatic mop cleaning.
The cleaning system uses rotating discs for high pressure and surface contact. The DualSweep structure, combining side and main brushes, is designed to prevent hair tangling. The robots also feature dynamic wheel-leg lifting to navigate thresholds and avoid carpets during operation.
