DJI released a firmware update for the Osmo Pocket 4 and Osmo Pocket 4P on September 16. The update introduces native HDR support for both photos and videos, allowing users to capture 10-bit HDR content directly without post-processing.
The update enables D-Log color mode in slow-motion settings, which supports recording at up to 4K resolution at 240 frames per second. This feature aims to provide greater flexibility for professional color grading in slow-motion footage.
Users can now configure automatic wireless uploads for their media files. The devices support synchronization with Baidu Netdisk, Quark Netdisk, Huawei Cloud, and NAS storage systems, helping to free up local device memory.
The control hardware has been improved with an upgrade to the five-way joystick, which now supports eight-direction gimbal control. New diagonal inputs allow for more precise framing and camera movement during operation.
The updated joystick interface also includes new shortcut commands. Single-click returns to the previous menu, double-click centers the gimbal, and triple-click flips the camera orientation.
