The overall consumer PC GPU market in Q2 2026 reached 75.5 million units, showing a 10.4% increase quarter-over-quarter and a 1.1% year-over-year growth. This growth was primarily driven by notebook GPUs, which saw a shipment surge of 16.8%, while desktop GPU shipments declined by 4% sequentially.
Discrete GPU shipments increased by 12.2% sequentially and 14.1% year-over-year in Q2 2026. While Jon Peddie Research (JPR) did not provide absolute numbers, estimates suggest approximately 20 million discrete GPUs were sold by AMD, Intel, and Nvidia during this period.
In terms of market share, Intel maintained its leadership with 56% of the consumer GPU market, supported by its consumer CPU shipments. Nvidia followed with 23% share, and AMD grew its share to 21%, up from 14% in the same quarter of the previous year, gaining seven percentage points year-over-year.
