Paramount has finalized the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, resulting in a merged entity rebranded as Skydance. The new corporate structure encompasses several streaming platforms, including Discovery+, HBO Max, and Paramount+.
Following the merger, Discovery+ has implemented a price increase for its subscription plans. The ad-supported tier will rise from $5.99 to $6.99 per month, while the ad-free option will increase from $9.99 to $11.99 per month.
The updated pricing structure is effective immediately for all new subscribers. Existing customers will see the rate changes reflected in their billing cycles starting from November 12, 2026. This marks the first price adjustment for the service since January 2025.
The company has announced plans to integrate Paramount+ and HBO Max into a single service. However, the future of Discovery+ as a standalone platform remains uncertain. The service currently hosts content from networks such as TLC, Discovery Channel, HGTV, Food Network, and Investigation Discovery.
