Developer Terkel Gjervig has introduced Desktop Cleaning, a new application designed to organize computer desktops by covering cluttered files with a virtual rug. The software is currently in the prototype stage, but the creator plans to refine the tool and release it officially in the future.

The virtual rug features dynamic physics, allowing users to adjust its size and rotation. When users drag the fabric, it deforms and creates wrinkles, mimicking real-world behavior. Users can also pull the edges of the rug to smooth it out or lift specific parts to access hidden files underneath.

Interested users can sign up for updates on the official project website to receive notifications as soon as the application becomes available for public use.
