Denza, the premium brand under BYD, will begin accepting non-binding reservations for its new all-electric N8 SUV on October 26, 2026. The company plans to follow this with a full commercial launch and the start of customer deliveries in November.

The vehicle is built on the BYD e-Platform 3.0 Evo architecture and features a five-seat layout. It replaces the previously discontinued plug-in hybrid model of the same name. Unlike the six-seat Denza N8L, the N8 is designed as a distinct five-seat variant.

The lineup includes three powertrain configurations. The flagship all-wheel-drive version utilizes a tri-motor setup with a total output of 890 kW, or 1,193 hp, and reaches a top speed of 240 km/h. Two rear-wheel-drive options are also available, featuring single motors rated at 320 kW and 370 kW.

The SUV is equipped with LFP Blade batteries from FinDreams Battery. The largest battery pack offers a capacity of 130.15 kWh, providing a maximum CLTC range of 1,003 km. A 105.792 kWh battery option is also available, with total certified range figures for the model ranging between 800 km and 1,003 km.

While official pricing has not been disclosed, the brand's six-seat N8L model serves as a reference point, currently priced between ¥299 800 and ¥329 800. The N8 EV features a roof-mounted LiDAR unit, though specific details regarding the driver-assistance package remain unconfirmed.
