Traders on the Robinhood Chain are increasingly pairing tokenized stocks with memecoins, creating unconventional liquidity pools. One notable example involved the BONER memecoin and a tokenized version of Hims & Hers shares, which trade on the New York Stock Exchange.

During this experiment, the liquidity pool held 31,198 HIMS tokens out of 58,714 in circulation. This imbalance caused the tokenized HIMS price to reach $132.64, significantly higher than the $28.84 closing price of the actual shares on the NYSE.

These markets utilize automated market makers to facilitate swaps without traditional order books. According to the launchpad LONG, stock-paired markets recorded over $425 million in trading volume within a 24-hour period on September 2, with nearly $12 million in liquidity locked.

The trend highlights the potential for tokenized stocks to serve as building blocks for new DeFi markets. While analysts note that these pools allow for round-the-clock trading, they caution that thin reserves and restricted issuance can lead to significant price divergence from underlying assets.
