According to CertiK Skynet data, the total value locked (TVL) in decentralized finance lending protocols reached $50,2 billion on September 8. This figure represents a 21% increase over the preceding 30-day period.

The growth in TVL is attributed to both new capital inflows and the appreciation of major assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Rising collateral values allow borrowers to increase loan positions without depositing additional assets.

A significant portion of the market is concentrated in a few key protocols, including Aave, Morpho, Spark, and Maple Finance. Aave currently holds top rankings in CertiK’s security-weighted metrics.

Maple Finance’s inclusion in the top rankings highlights the participation of institutional-grade capital. The platform provides structured credit products for vetted borrowers, distinguishing it from permissionless lending models.

CertiK Skynet monitors these protocols by combining raw TVL data with audit history and real-time on-chain surveillance. This approach aims to assess both the scale and the risk profile of the platforms.
