DeepSeek and Huawei have collaborated to release an open-source programming toolset designed for Chinese AI accelerators. The project includes TileLang, which serves as a local alternative to the Nvidia CUDA platform, aiming to reduce reliance on American software and hardware in the AI sector.

The initiative focuses on optimizing performance for Huawei Ascend 950 chips. DeepSeek stated that Huawei provided comprehensive support during the software development process, and both companies intend to continue their partnership to build a robust local AI ecosystem.

DeepSeek is currently expanding its infrastructure, planning to deploy at least 160,000 Huawei accelerators in a new data center located in Inner Mongolia. The company is also finalizing a funding round that values it at approximately ¥500 billion, or $74 billion, with a potential IPO expected this year.
