The Deepal S09 is a large plug-in hybrid SUV featuring a serial hybrid powertrain. It uses a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that acts solely as a generator to charge the battery, while electric motors on both axles provide all-wheel drive. The system delivers a total output of 492 horsepower, allowing the vehicle to accelerate to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.
The vehicle offers a pure electric range of up to 210 km, with a total driving range exceeding 1000 km. Measuring 5205 x 1996 x 1800 mm with a 3105 mm wheelbase, the model is available in five- and six-seat configurations. The interior features a head-up display, two 15.6-inch touchscreens, and a dedicated ceiling-mounted screen for rear passengers.
The Russian market version includes a winter package with heating for the windshield, washer nozzles, steering wheel, and all three rows of seats. Standard equipment includes adaptive cruise control, a panoramic roof, wireless charging, power-operated side steps, and automated parking. Ventilated and massage seats are also included as standard.
The Techno trim level adds an air suspension system with adaptive dampers, an air ionization system, and a built-in refrigerator. Official sales of the model have commenced in Russia with a starting price of 6.59 ₽ million.
