Dacia has unveiled a new generation of the Spring electric hatchback, which is now manufactured in Slovenia. The vehicle is built on the AmpR Small platform, also known as RG-EV, which is used for the Renault 5 E-Tech and Nissan Micra.
The new model is 150 mm longer and 180 mm wider than its predecessor, with a total length of 3,850 mm. It features a front-mounted electric motor with 80 hp and 175 Nm of torque, powered by a 27.5 kWh LFP battery.
The car offers a WLTP range of up to 155 miles. Charging from 15% to 80% takes 28 minutes using a 50 kW DC charger, while a 6.6 kW AC charger requires 2 hours and 55 minutes for a full charge.
The lineup consists of Expression and Journey trims. Dacia confirmed that all versions will be priced under €20 000 before subsidies. The previous generation of the Spring will remain on sale alongside the new model.
