Dacia has unveiled the second-generation Spring electric hatchback, which will be manufactured in Slovenia. The vehicle is priced starting at €17,900, with higher trim levels beginning at €19,500. The company plans to introduce three additional Dacia electric models by the end of the decade.

The new model features an 80 hp electric motor and a 27.5 kWh LFP battery, providing a range of 250 km under the WLTP cycle. Charging from 15% to 80% takes 28 minutes at a 50 kW station, nine hours using a 6.8 kW home charger, or 1 hour and 55 minutes with an 11 kW AC charger.

The vehicle measures 3.85 meters in length and 1.74 meters in width, representing an increase of 15 cm and 18 cm respectively over the previous generation. The interior includes a 7-inch instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, while the trunk capacity is 337 liters, expandable to 1,283 liters.

Development of the new Spring took 16 months. The car is equipped with a rear-view camera and a driver monitoring system. Owners can also purchase an optional 18-liter front storage box. The final purchase price may be further reduced through various local subsidies available within the European Union.
