Developer SupraGSX has released a custom driver, ForceWare 382.69, which enables support for Nvidia Pascal architecture graphics cards on 32-bit Windows XP. The project is based on a modified version of the official ForceWare 368.81 driver.
The driver supports a wide range of Pascal-based hardware, including the GTX 1060, GTX 1070, GTX 1080, GTX 1080 Ti, TITAN X, and TITAN XP. This modification allows these modern GPUs to function on the legacy operating system.
The update adds support for DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 and HDMI 2.0, enabling higher resolutions and refresh rates. Users have reported successful operation at 3840x1080 resolution with a 144Hz refresh rate.
There are concerns regarding the driver's development, as reports suggest it was created using AI-assisted coding. Experts warn that using AI-generated code for hardware drivers carries risks, potentially causing irreversible damage to the graphics cards.
