The peripheral manufacturer CRKD has introduced the Atom+ controller, a compact device designed for portability. The controller features a keychain-compatible design, allowing users to attach it to bags or keys when not in use. It is available in four color options: Smoke Black, Glacier Blue, Retro Purple, and PAL Grey.
The device connects wirelessly via Bluetooth to Nintendo Switch, PC, mobile devices, tablets, and smart TVs. It is equipped with two joysticks utilizing TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) technology, which aims to reduce power consumption and prevent stick drift compared to mechanical alternatives. The controller also includes four shoulder buttons and digital trigger inputs.
Atom+ is powered by a rechargeable battery that charges via USB-C. The device supports the CRKD Companion App, enabling users to remap buttons, adjust vibration settings, and perform firmware updates. Additional features include motion controls, a rapid-fire mode, and integration with the True Collection System for product registration and rarity tracking.
The controller is currently available for purchase at a price of $29.99. Each unit comes with an included wrist strap to facilitate carrying. The design retains a full button layout despite its small form factor, ensuring compatibility with various gaming setups.
